Mentoring Graduate and Endorsement Students

Audience: Levels 1-2 (only available to students in GT Endorsement and/or gifted education graduate programs)

To support university faculty at Colorado institutions of higher education who teach graduate courses in gifted education , the Academy provides opportunity for graduate students in gifted education to establish short-term mentoring relationships with Academy members. An Academy mentor might meet and/or communicate online with a student to engage in discussions of topics of specific interest to the student, provide perspective based on practical experience, help the student probe issues in gifted education, or help the student reflect more deeply on questions and issues pertinent to their learning.

Involvement in this mentoring option requires the approval of the course instructor and may not be appropriate for all graduate courses.
